8 minutes a day to a healthy smile

Everybody knows brushing and flossing daily is key to good oral health. But simply brushing and flossing alone isn't enough - it's all about frequency and technique.

HOW OFTEN AND HOW LONG?

It only takes a few minutes to maintain healthy teeth.

  • brush your teeth twice a day for 3 minutes - longer if you use brushing aid for receded gums
  • Floss your teeth once a day for 2 minutes

MAKE IT COUNT.

Use the right technique and equipment for best results.

  • Brush in a circular motion holding your toothbrush at a 45 degree angle toward the gum-line - electric toothbrushes are the most thorough
  • Floss between teeth in and up-and-down motion, making sure to hug the tooth on both sides of the gum as you go below the gum-line.
