HOW INVISALIGN WORKS
The best way to explain Invisalign is “New Age Braces.” If you have crooked teeth, digital models are made of your teeth by taking a scan of your teeth through an impression. A digital 3D model is made on a computer and changes are programmed. From the programmed changes, digital models are made of your teeth at each stage of treatment to make the clear aligners that push your teeth one step closer each time to your new smile. After your Invisalign impression appointment, you will come monthly to receive a new set of Invisalign aligners and the doctor closely monitors the progress and makes necessary adjustments in your teeth.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN GETTING INVISALIGN
Things you should know when getting Invisalign. The Invisalign aligners must be worn at all times except when you are eating, drinking or brushing and flossing your teeth in order to work effectively. At first, there is an adjustment to having the plastic Invisalign aligners in your mouth. When you change aligners they will be tight. If this occurs, over-the-counter medication can relieve this soreness and it subsides after a day or two. Most people will not need to take medication because the soreness is so mild. You can expect to begin seeing results after the first few aligners. The aligners are changed weekly, so within the first month, you will feel and see your teeth changing.
